Supporting each other one hour at a time
Are you interested in getting to know other people in your community and maybe building new friendships?
Perhaps you're looking for opportunities to get involved in something but can't commit to regular hours?
Or maybe you're looking for support and wondering how a Timebank might be able to help?
Timebanking takes place through exchanges by members as they give and receive services to each other, or through group and community activities and projects.
It is a way of linking local people who can share their time and skills, building on the strengths within our communities and strengthening the bonds between us.
It is a way to put structure around the day-to-day things we do for each other. By joining up we can exchange skills, knowledge, love and compassion.
You may help with a computer issue, paint a fence, join an online cafe chat or go for a walk together - and in the process, establish connections and add to the community we all live in.
Organisations can join as members too in order to give and receive in the same way that individuals can. They can swap resources, professional skills, training places, meeting room space and lots more.
Meet us online every Monday 1-1.30pm or
Meet us in person at the Tara Centre, join us at the community garden or come for a social walk
The focus of Timebanking is on our value as human beings.
